You may use METE in two ways:
a) Guest Mode
- No account creation is required
- No personally identifiable user data is collected
- Only baby-related data is stored locally or on our servers
b) Registered Account (Optional)
If you choose to create an account:
- Email address and password are collected
- Baby-related data is associated with your account
2.4 Routine & Activity Data (Optional)
Users may log daily baby care activities, including:
- Sleep times (start/end)
- Feeding times
- Diaper changes
- Medication schedules
- Playtime
- Custom activities
These entries may include timestamps, titles, and descriptions. This data is stored securely but is not end-to-end encrypted.
2.5 Media & AI Analysis Data (Optional)
Users may upload:
- Photos
- Videos
- Audio recordings
for AI-based analysis features. These files:
- Are stored on our servers
- May be processed by third-party AI providers (see Section 5)
3. How We Use Information
We use collected data to:
- Provide baby care tracking and timeline features
- Generate AI-based insights and analysis
- Improve application performance and user experience
- Personalize recommendations and suggestions
We do not use your data for direct advertising or sell your data to third parties.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Data is stored on secure servers
- Routine and activity data is not encrypted end-to-end
- We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards
However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Third-Party AI Processing
To provide AI-powered analysis features, user-submitted content (photos, videos, audio, and related text inputs) may be processed by third-party providers, including:
- OpenAI
- Anthropic (Claude)
When using these features:
- Your data may be transmitted to these providers
- Processing, storage, and handling of this data may be subject to their respective privacy policies
- We do not control how these providers store or further process data
We do not sell or share your data with other third parties beyond these necessary processing providers.

METE provides informational insights based on AI analysis.

- Results are for informational purposes only
- Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns
7. Data Retention
We retain your data:
- As long as your account is active
- Or until you request deletion
Guest data may be retained temporarily to provide app functionality.
8. Data Deletion
You may delete your data at any time:
In-App:
- Use the “Delete My Data” feature
- This permanently removes all stored data
Important:
- Deletion is permanent and irreversible
- It may affect access to purchased features or history
9. In-App Purchases
METE offers optional purchases including:
- Subscriptions
- One-time purchases
Payments are processed via:
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
We use RevenueCat as a subscription management platform. RevenueCat may process purchase data and subscription status. We do not store your payment details directly.
10. Children’s Privacy
METE is intended for use by parents or guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children.
11. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored in countries outside your jurisdiction, depending on the infrastructure and third-party providers used.
